Add the ability to send notifications to non-users

Joe Cerep 10 months ago in Productivity Management updated by Eric Teitsma 8 months ago 3

It would be great if we were able to send notifications to non-users. We have a large number of stakeholders, both internal and external, that are involved in projects but do not have a need to be in Aprimo. They would benefit from a large number of our existing notifications.

Moving this to rejected since a solution already exists and we are not going to do any work here.

There is an option to create users in Aprimo with a license type of "None".  These users cannot login to the product but they are available to select in the application in most areas.  For example, you can create a role for a marketing stakeholder and then pick a "None" user to fill that role.  Then in your workflow template you can setup custom notifications to be sent to that role and the user would receive the emails.  They can also be used to send report distributions, although in report distribution you can also put direct email address into the distribution list as well.

Does this meet your needs?  If not please share what are your use cases that this would not handle.

Thanks Eric! This is perfect and meets our needs. I had asked if there was an option for this functionality and was told it wasn't available so this is great news.
