Ability to show visual indication of status of an asset

Joris Wynendaele [Aprimo] 11 months ago in Digital Asset Management updated by ethan.kearns 7 months ago 4

As a user I would like to get a visual overview of one particular metadata field (most often something like status) in the result page. Right now, most customers (mis)use watermarks for this, which doesn't always result in the best user experience (e.g. https://voice.aprimo.com/communities/42/topics/1560-applying-black-and-white-watermarking-on-grayscale-images).

It would be great if the result page would have a very visual way of showing this (displaying the metadata underneath the asset in card-view is not enough). Most clients would be looking for something like a color-coded traffic light or border.

UX Content Types / Metadata Fields / Attributes

Upvoting this. Our use case is to have a visual indicator for our 'preferred' assets. Basically, using a metadata attribute to automatically add a visual queue on an asset. Thanks!

Agreed that this would be great to have, so i'll qualify it, but can't promise we're going to get this in the near future.

I guess we are utilizing watermarking for the status (new, new, restricted) of an asset or classification (final, restricted) instead of watermark the image for copyright concerns which applying colorspace makes sense.

A way to show if an asset is

- new (color coded or color bordered)

- DRM restricted,

- Rights managed,

- Archived etc.

would be awesome. The Status list can be expanded or can be modified to meet any kind of business need.
