Out of Office administration

Right now, only the individual can set up their Out of Office timeframe/back up users/etc.  I would like the ability for users with Administration rights to be able to set up the individual's Out of Office details.

We would also like to have the same set of fields for setting up OOO in the User Preferences  also on the User Details page, so as admins we could modify it if needed.  But if there is a way to see what the user has set for OOO (i.e. if they have their OOO set at all), that would be great.  Currently, we have a report setup to tell us who has their OOO set.

Hi Eric, I think it would be best to expose the same set of fields for setting up OOO in User Preferences also on the User Details page in System Admin. Then an admin would be able to modify it without having to reset a users password to get in and as Richard said breach our internal security policy.

So the ask would be to expose the same set of fields for setting up OOO in User Preferences also on the User Details page in System Admin?  Or maybe add it as a new tab on the top but then a system admin could see what the user has set for OOO and also modify it if needed?

We would also welcome the addition of this functionality, especially as internal security regulations do not allow the logging into other users accounts.

Great idea, prevents admin us having to log in as the user to check teh out of office is on.
