as a contributor i want to share a metadata template with another user or usergroup

Content Types / Metadata Fields / Attributes Ingestion / Upload

We haven't started on this yet. We're first working on the redesign of the my upload experience for the content workspace (new DAM UI)

Any status on this one....I see it's qualified.

I was just asked about this functionality in a meeting yesterday.  Any status on this one?

Our uploading users are spread out over the world in 112 countries. Each of them uploads hundreds, if not thousands of assets, all with similar metadata, only very few fields being individual.

The metadata template is thus very important for us. But it does not help if we cant share it. It is close to impossible to create and update metadata templates for hundreds of users!

I understand that Metadata Templates are user based currently, however, I was wondering if there was a way to allocate metadata templates to users from a central repository of templates that can be created.

Say as an Administrator - I create a set of metadata templates that can be used by all to the DAM for a specific set of contributors that specifically handle the data requirements that they would need, I would ideally love to be able to ‘push’ out to any new contributors this set as they come into the system.

Absolutely.  We have a team of digital librarians that all share the load of work - and globally.  They will want to have a golden copy that they can then share to their teammates so if there are any updates to those templates, everyone can use the latest & greatest each time.
