Links from reports to reporting objects

Allow export/distribution reports the option to include links to reporting objects - task, project, activity etc..


The ability to link directly from reports will provide users with a more useful, dynamic reporting experience.

Link to attachments available in Reporting

We currently utilize operational reporting which can include links to attachments.


Use Case: Reports are utilized to facilitate reviews of high volumes of data, and reviewing critical attachments is part of the reviews by displaying a link to the attachment directly on the report. This was previously available in base product, then an update removed this capability. It was put back in place as a customization. It needs to be implemented in the product to avoid disruption of operational reviews. Our use case has an extremely high volume of tasks/reviews processed by centralized operational teams (thousands), therefore reporting is utilized to streamline the review process including links to the attachments (Ex. Invoice attachments, the actual invoice record). Removing the attachment links from the operational reporting increases the click stream for every single review and ultimately adds significant time to the review process; limiting the volume of work each individual resource can perform.


This has been discussed previously over the years, but I do want to emphasize the criticality of the functionality.

Report - Request to display not selected/null picklist criteria results (VSTS 163028)

Description: Following the case CS0015147 that we logged, we noticed when running a report and filtering a picklist EA with "does not equal" a specific criteria that we also we did not get results where the EA was 'Not Selected' (or null). We allow and request that users set up activities prior to being able to complete all criteria, and we do want to see the list of activities even if the EA is not yet completed. Please see the associated ticket for details, as Rockell Betancourt suggested we log an enhancement ticket on this issue.

Business Use Case: The issue is that in the report, we want to filter out Tactic Subtype does not equal Targeting as one of the criteria. This causes any activities that do not yet have a tactic subtype selected (ie: they are in Submit Creative Development Info Activity Status since Are you Ready to Provide details was answered No at Activity creation) to also be removed from the report. Though we can work around this by not including the filter and exporting to Excel and filter there, we think that this was not the intention of the function to exclude activities where the filtered criteria is not completed due to the our intended use of the system. It should keep the null values because they also don’t equal Targeting (in this instance).

Report Fields are not shown in custom order

When we configure and run report numeric EA or attributes are always displayed at the end of the report, even we configure those in middle or as first column.

Form type report format

As of now we have report format that will have all EA titles as column headers. But our business requirement demands a format that EA name/Title will be one column header and EA value will be an another column header. so that first column will have all EA titles and 2nd column will have corresponding EA values.

This was something Customer Service suggested to assist us with page load questions from users and logged on our behalf related to case CS0011740 and not visible to us in our Enhancements list in ServiceNow.
