File Storage Providers

Alin Serbaneci 5 years ago in ADAM Core updated by petra.tant 4 years ago 2

Currently in ADAM it is not possible to store the files wherever you want. As per the requirements, the File Server is limited to a NTFS file system (mountable on Windows).

As we know, ADAM is oriented on using the Provider Model. For now, there is nothing related to File Storage around this.

It would be a great feature to have a FileStorageProvider class each client can overwrite for it's purpose. Whether the purpose is to store/update/obtain files on an internal or external Cloud Storage Solution. It can virtually be anything the client needs, in order to achieve his purpose.

Elevating from ADAM 5.3, the ProviderName property could be opened on the FileStore class, as well as a setting to register custom FileStore Providers.

Hope you get what you need ;-)

Hi Alin,

We released a Cloud storage provider in the meantime, so I presume I can close this.

Kind regards,
